GENERAL INFORMATION, COURSE STANDARDS AND CURRICULUM 300 Hr Teacher Training Course : DURATION – 4 WEEKS Advanced Course for 200 Hour Certificate Holders : MAX. PARTICIPANTS- 15 Advanced training Course (technically, 2nd Level of training) for the professional Yoga teachers. 200 Hour certification (from any school with any style) is a Prerequisite Qualification to enroll in this course. 500 Hour yoga certification will be Awarded, up on the successful completion of the course. Become an RYT-500 by registering with Yoga Alliance. Basically, 300 hour teacher training is an advanced course for those who want to incorporate detailed and subtle yogic techniques and enhancing the depth of yoga practice. It is a natural flow in the process of learning and teaching yoga. This intensive course helps you to deepen your existing knowledge in the subject, that includes technical training and advance asana practice. A great deal of attention will be given to technical aspects, sequencing, and structural components for a Vinyasa Flow class. This gives you an opportunity to enhance your teaching skills and adjustment techniques. Moreover, the course will focus more on Sanskrit/asana vocabulary, in-depth discussions on philosophy. The students will gain in-depth knowledge of advanced pranaayama techniques, meditation practices, structural anatomy, and have opportunity to teach and assist with verbal and physical adjustments during the asana classes. In summary, this training is not just about receiving more information but also about experiencing through practice. Duration of the course: 5 – weeks (this amounts to 300 hours of training { 270 contact hours training at school and 30 hours non-contact hours as pre-reading and pre-study before the course} which qualifies for 500 hours certification with cumulative hours added from 200 hour course). As per the guidelines of Yoga Alliance for the 300 Hr course, we will send the Pre-study details to the applicants, once they have registered for the course. The following are the standards and Course Frame work set by Yoga Alliance Under 5 Educational categories 90 hours of Techniques Training/Practice 20-Hours of Teaching Methodology 25-Hours of Anatomy & Physiology – Includes both human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.). Includes both the study of the subject and application of its principles to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc). 75-Hours of Yoga Philosophy/Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers – Includes the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle, and ethics for yoga teachers. 60-Hours of Practicum 30-non-contact hours

Sarvaguna Yoga is a centre of holistic healing, an ideal place to learn Yoga philosophy, Asanas, Meditation, Pranayama, Kundalini yoga, Hatha Yoga, chakra balancing, Mudra therapy, Reiki healing, Sanskrit language, Vedic Mantra chanting, basics of Ayurveda. The school also conducts one to one healing sessions, which include Reiki and pranic healings, spiritual therapy, mantra initiation, healing meditations, kundalini healing sessions, chakra balancing techniques, and Psycho-Spiritual therapy sessions.

- Reaching by TRAIN: There are no direct Trains to reach Dharmashala. Pathankot (Earlier Known as Chakki Bank) is the nearest Railway station to a reach Dharmashala. Patankot Railway station is well connected by rail from all other major cities in India. The distance from Pathonkot to our Yoga centre is about 100 kms and it costs around 1500 INR to reach the centre by Taxi. If you choose to travel by Train, we strongly recommend you to book your train tickets through Indian govt Rail website: www.indianrail.gov.in or www.irctc.co.in. You should have your identity proof while booking your train tickets. Reaching by BUS – There are daily bus services from Delhi to Dharamsala every evening, it’s about 10 to 12 hours journey with a fare of INR 300-1300 depending upon the type of bus you choose to travel. Local government or private sleeper buses, AC or Non AC chair are available from New Delhi and from other major cities. This option is the most economical. Bus services are also available from Manali and Shimla. You can book your bus online at www.redbus.in or www.hptdc.nic.in/bus.htm. We can provide you more details information about travel to Dharamsala if you need.
Hence, 100 percent attendance is required in order to receive certificate. The programs are intensive and demand compulsory attendance for compulsory contact hours of training.
In case of continuous absence, except in serious medical conditions, the participant may not receive certification and additional hours of study on a future training will be required.
If the student has any slight sickness and unable to practice intense Asana class, the student is strongly encouraged to attend the class and observe the teachings.
Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive for the classes at least 10 minutes in advance and be settled down before the class begins.
One must not enter the class, if late, without prior permission from the teacher. Any late arrival is considered not only disrespect to the group and the teachings but also results in non admission into the class.
Maintenance of silence: Practice of silence is a great value in Yogic tradition as it greatly helps to assimilate and imbibe the essence of yoga.
Health and Fitness Issues:
Yoga students are expected to take responsibility of themselves and are solely responsible for his/her own safety, health and general well-being during the training program. The Yoga-Meditation practices during the training period are intensive and challenging physically as well as mentally. Hence, Sarvaguna Yoga Training programs are suitable only for physically healthy and mentally stable personalities. The training programs or not suitable for people who are rehabilitating from or on medication for severe physical or psychological conditions except under the supervision of a doctor or a psychologist/psychotherapist. Our yoga Teacher training programs are also not suitable for pregnant women, except in case of pre-natal Yoga course.
Liability release: Sarvaguna Yoga management or any of its staff is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, sickness or illness caused, medical or psychiatric conditions developed prior, during or subsequent to the course or holiday.
Students are requested to sign the liability release form on arrival and before joining into the course stating that you are healthy and fit both psychologically and physically and you are prepared for intensive practices that may lead to emotional and physical issues. Without signing liability release form, students will not be accepted in the course. Sarvaguna Yoga is also not responsible or liable for delays, cancellations, changes or losses caused by natural disasters, war, and threat of war, closure of airports, civil strife, accidents or any other events beyond our control. The YTTC Participants are entirely and solely responsible for their own belongings and valuables.
Issues with classmates and teachers:
In the event of any differences, difficulties with classmates, teachers or other school staff, or if you have any personal problems or issues, students are to directly convey the message to the Director immediately, so that the appropriate action should be taken to restore the learning atmosphere.
Drugs and Alcohol : Consuming drugs, alcohol or cigarettes is strictly prohibited during the training programs. Consuming these substances will be counterproductive of your yoga practice and are against to the basis principals of yoga.
Conduct and Behaviour: The school reserves the right to dismiss or cancel the admission of the student and ask to leave the course immediately, if he or she is indulges in disruptive activities or fails to comply with the terms and conditions (including mentioned above), set by the Sarvaguna Yoga Dhaama.
If the course is to be cancelled due to unavoidable reasons the Course fee (excluding Registration fee) can be adjusted in any future course you attend with Sarvaguna Yoga within one year from the date of booking.
To reschedule the course students must inform the school at least One Month before the starting date of your rescheduled course otherwise one may lose the course fee entirely.
